SECOND XV - 1ST DIV RESERVES (SOUTH)

The 2nd XV compete in the KZNRU First Division Reserve, & follow their 1st XV, playing all their matches against the same opposition, on the same days, proceeding the 1st XV matches.

The 2nd XV is considered to be the "feeder" and "breeding ground", for the 1st XV, with many players who originally start the season in the 2nd XV, going onto play for the 1st XV in final and critical League & Knockout matches later in the season.

Many of the Club's 1st XV Players from recent years gone by, who are approaching the end of their rugby careers, choose to stay on, and play in the 2nd XV, and help mentor the younger players as they "move up the ranks"

Such is the dynamic within Club Rugby, that old gives way.

The 1st & 2nd XV practice on a Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 18h00-19h30, with the entire squad practicing together on a Tuesday evening, & then splitting out into two teams on a Thursday evening.
