Bonus points all round for the Hillcrest Villagers teams.

Land Rover Durban-Hillcrest Villagers RC, hosted Durban Mets in the third round of the 2016 KZNRU First Division. It was their first home game of the season, and the home crowd was there in numbers, to support the lads from the "Crest"

In the opening game of the evening, Villagers beat their counterparts a convincing 31-10, with Tyrone Baker & Nathi Gono, being awarded Men of the Match, collecting well deserved bonus point, in addition to their win.

In the main match of the evening, Villagers 1st XV were made to work hard in the first half against a "gutsy" Mets side who were not going to give up easy. In the second half Villagers picked up their intensity, and despite the high dew level, which saw countless handling errors from both sides, the flood gates eventually opened. The Upper-Highway outfit eventually dominated the latter half, with the Hillcrest lads finishing the game with a comfortable and convincing win of 38-5 and a bonus point with their 5x Try blitz. Trevor Mvundura & Henk Groenewald, won the Men of the Match Award.

On Saturday afternoon, Envirosan Hillcrest Villagers 3rd XV were hosted by Pinetown Rugby Club. Villagers totally dominated the 2nd XV Pinetown side, with a convincing 39-10 win, also earning themselves a bonus point in the process. Men of the Match were Dylan Jones & Brad Kay
